paratrooperThe body of a paratrooper who was missing in Afghanistan was finally found which brings a long search to an end. Sergeant Brandon Islip went missing on November 4th when he and SPC Benjamin Sherman were swept away in a fast moving river. The soldiers from the 82nd Airborne division were attempting to recover supplies from an air drop when they either fell into the river or entered it to recover some of the supplies.

We created a post on this story recently and are following up now with the conclusion to the matter. Evidently an Afghan citizen witnessed the accident and reported it. Intensive searches began and the body of SPC Sherman was recovered on November 10th. Another Afghan citizen evidently spotted the body of SGT  Islip in the Bala Murgahab river weeks later. His body was subsequently recovered after a search of the area.  http://www.militaryringexpress.com
