The Armed Forces are rapidly developing robots to use in military applications. The use of robots will save friendly lives by doing some of the most dangerous jobs that our troops have to perform in combat.
One place where I believe robots will definitely help out will be in urban warfare situations. Urban warfare is the most dangerous for the attacker because he doesn’t know where the enemy is until he is right upon him. Military robots can be used in urban warfare to go into buildings and around corners to find out exactly where the enemy soldier is located. They can provide pictures so that our troops will know exactly what tey are up against.
Drones are one example of a military robot which is providing excellent benefits to our troops. They have been instrumental in allowing us to take out many high ranking taliban officials. Robots will definitely be a force multiplier in any conflict but I think that you military ring customers will agree that they will never be able to completely replace the infantryman with a rifle.
