US Fleet Marine Forces

Posted December 14th, 2009 by OldWarrior

USMC logo.svgThe definition of a Fleet Marine Force is a combination of general and special purpose forces within the US Department of the Navy.

The thing to keep in mind is that it is an aggregation of forces put togeter because the powers that be have determined that this combination is neccessary to accomplish the task at hand. The fleet  force is a mixture of Naval and Marine Corps units of components of units grouped together because of the unique capabilities of each. The units must enhance each other in their operations and each is neccessary to the mission.

If you remember the recent post tat we did on the task force you can picture the fleet force. All of our USMC ring customers who are combat arms will have to operate from the parameters of the fleet force but this is not neccessarily true about our Naval ring customers.
