In what was billed as a book signing tour Sarah Palin visited Fort Bragg NC on November 22nd. I believe that this was really a thinly veiled campaign trip. She will continue on to Ft. Hood TX for her next session.
Military installations are not supposed to be used for campaign tours but since she is no longer a politician she was able to book the tours. This is really a gray area.
Her tour provoked some anti Obama sentiment by republican party supporters but in my opinion the military is not the place for this. I understand why it is important for the Armed Services to keep a lid on this type of activity.
The Commander in Chief is just that. It dosen’t matter whether he or she is a Democrat or Republican. Soldiers are sworn to serve their country regardless of who the president happens to be. When you get people on a military base publicly critisizing the policies of the Commander in Chief you are getting into an area which can cause our country serious problems. I certainly hope that Ms Palin will keep this in mind . As I hope any other presidential hopeful would. http://www.militaryringexpress.com
