The Definition of Conventional Warfare

Highlight for Album: frijofConventional warfare is warfare where two Armies square off against each other and just slug it out. It starts out with each seeking to destroy the others Army but at some point of time one or both will probably decide to go nuclear or use other weapons of mass destruction. This decision is normally made when one side realizes that it can not win using conventional methods.

Each of the world wars were conventional wars. My custom military ring customers who served at the same time that I did probably remember the way that we trained to fight the Soviets. I believe that the days of conventional warfare for the United States are over. I may be wrong but I don’t think we will fight a conventional war ever again. We will probably fight guerilla wars or asymmetric conflicts. If we tangle with China iIbelieve that it would quickly turn unconventional.
