Bush’s Comments on Afghanistan

Bush Warns of Afghan TyrannyFormer President Bush warns that the Taliban and al-Qaeda can not be allowed to return to power in Afghanistan. These remarks came during a speech Delhi, India.

I don’t think that the former president made these remarks as any kind of veiled criticism of the Obama administrations policies on Afghanistan but he seems to be attempting to rally the Indian people to the cause. You can say what you want about Mr Bush but he has always been professional in the way that he deals with issues such as this.

These comments seem to be addressed towards the comeback that insurgents are attempting to make in Afghanistan and the lack of credibility and control exerted by the Afghan government. In order to win this war we must have the Afghan government to step up in these areas. We need for this thing to end up like we want it to so that our custom military ring customers will have a good story to tell.
