The US is Considering New War Plans in Afghanistan

Posted October 29th, 2009 by OldWarrior

afghanThe US government recently finished evaluating and wargaming its plans for troop deployments in Afghanistan. This seems to be a part of the reassessment of the war that president Obama ordered before he commits more troops to the region. It seems that both strategies were reviewed step by step against what we know to see which one is more feasible to use. Hopefully this way most possible contingencies will be covered. You can never account for every possible thing that can happen in war. Sometimes you just have to get to a point where you feel that you have done just about all that you can do and go for it. Tell your people that if its wrong make it work anyway.

The plan sems to be to put a full court press on militants in the critical areas where they are strong. Those places are where the overwhelming American force will be used. What is critical to the plan is that the Aghan government be strong enough to hold on to the gains that we make. Once again I will call on my custom military ring customers who happen to be in Afghanistan now to help us out on this one. If we are way off on anything let us know.
