This is a bit of news because al-Zawahiri is one of the top terrorists in Afghanistan. This information is only known because it was announced pubicly.
The fact that Osama Hassan has been killed is known because it was announced in a matyrdom statement. We don’t know how he was killed but it seems that he was killed in some sort of military action because of the fact that it was announced in a matyrdom statement. Unless the statement is untrue I would guess that he was killed in some sort of drone missile strike. I may be totally off base here but I make this assumption because of the effects that drones have had in Pakistan and Afghanistan during this war.
The US has used drones to gather reams of intelligence against the Taliban and to successfully decapitate many of it’s leaders. I personally believe that drones are probably the biggest factor in the successes that our military ring, and Special Operations Rings customers have been having.
The fact that the US has drastically increased the use of drones attests to their success. Every war that we fight demands that we change some of the ways that we do business and drones have proven to be the necessary technical innovation of this war.
