The Taliban is Seeing Some Success in Northern Afghanistan

Northern Afghan Supply Route ThreatenedThis is getting to be a big problem for those forces which are friendly to the US. There are several major reasons for this but first let me warn you that the information that I give is secondhand and comes from my own research. I believe my research to be true, so don’t begin to think that the man who offers the custom military rings to you will ever try to lead you wrong.

It seems to me that the biggest problem that we have is not that we can’t whip the Taliban but that we don’t have enough soldiers on the ground to control the vast open spaces in Afghanistan. For instance we once ruled Northern Afghanistan but when we shifted our attention to the Southern part of the country the Taliban became powerful again in there. The Afghan people have no love for the Taliban, but they don’t have the ability to fight back so they comply out of fear. The country is vast and the government has little control.. The terrain is rough and difficult to traverse so it may be hard to get to problem areas.

Maybe the troop surge will help us to control areas that we have taken from the enemy. I can see why it is needed. Those who have been there will definitely have a story to tell.
