Operation Strike of the Sword is in full effect and I wish our soldiers and Marines well who are taking a part. Now we can break the back of al Qaeda and the Taliban and get on up out of dodge. I certainly pray that all goes well for our troops and that we have 0 casualties.
I am also happy that the new Presidential Administration is showing the resolve necessary to end this war. I was never worried that our new administration would back down and leave the region to collapse, but I agree that we should get out as soon as we possibly can.
Our government is not talking much right now about this operation, but I’m sure that we will get the details as soon as it is over and it is safe to reveal operational plans to the public. Lets hit the terrorists a good lick.
From what I can tell from the news that I have read the objective of the operation seems to be to surround and kill the terrorists. I have read that US troops were inserted by helocopter. I believe that troops were inserted on escape routes and checkpoints to cut off escape from the main attack. Talk it from the custom military ring man. We will see if I am right as soon as the operation is over and the details are revealed to the public.
