An Update on the 48th Infantry BCT

Posted June 23rd, 2009 by OldWarrior

oefUnfortunately another 48th BCT soldier was killed in a rocket attack in Afghanistan. We want  to send our sincere condolences to all of the family members and friends of every soldier from this unit that has been killed or wounded in action in Afghanistan and Iraq. I comment so much on this unit because they are stationed so near to me here in South East Georgia. I have met and served many of the soldiers of this unit. If any of the members of this unit reads this I am the custom military ring man who helped you all to design your Iraqi Freedom rings.

Although I haven’t seen you in a while my thoughts are still with you. Hopefully this troop build up will help us to get things under control and you all will be able to come home soon. If my count is accurate you have 4 KIA’s this trip. We will pray that you don’t get to number 5. Thank you for the outstanding job that you are doing and come home soon.
