The New US Cyber Command

Posted September 8th, 2010 by OldWarrior

The US Cyber Command was established in may, and is headquartered in Fort Meade Maryland. Now my custom military customer you may wonder what in the world is a cyber command? I’m going to tell you but even after I tell you you still won’t know.

The establishment of this command just goes to show how warfare is an ever changing mutating art. It’s dimensions are always expanding but it’s principles remain the same.

Now its stated mission is this: 1) To direct the operations and defenses of the Defense Department’s information networks. 2) The systematic and adaptive planning, integration, and synchronization of cyberactivities. 3) To conduct full spectrum military cyberspace operations, and 4) to ensure US and allied freedom of action in cyberspace. Now you have it can you tell me what they just said? Not a darn thing. This is some kind of Jedi mind trick that they are using to keep us confused. I will give you the military ring man’s translation of what they said, OK.

We can do whatever the heck we feel like we want to do, when we want to, as long as we can keep you confused enough to think that it falls under one of those categories. The sad thing about the whole affair is this; Many of you out there will pretend like you know so that you can impress the rest of us.
