A suspected Taliban bomber has killed 12 and wounded at least 61 in Lahore Pakistan this week. The bombing was symbolic in that a police station where high value Taliban prisoners were interrogated was bombed.
The bombing was obviously in retaliation to the recent Pakistan offensive against the Taliban in that country. The Pakistanis have recently stepped up their antiterror campaign in the country and has also captured Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar who was the 2nd highest ranking Taliban member in that country.
The bomber used a vehicle filled with explosives to ram into the building.
The Pakistanis like many other Arab countries are getting fed up with the fear tactics of al-Qaeda and are working to maintain control of their country. The US has no plans of sending troops into Pakistan and as long as the Pakistanis maintain control of al-Qaeda they will recieve financial assistance and military equipment from us.
