The Taliban mounted an attack which killed about 15 people in Kabul recently. The attack was conducted against a compound which housed foriegners and was executed by 5 Taliban fighters.
This low scale attack seems to indicate that the Taliban is weak considering that that is the best that they could muster during the time of the NATO offensive which is currently being mounted against them. Lets not jump to conclusions because they have known for a long time that they can’t win against our larger and technologically advanced forces so maybe they were just making a statement.
The attack on foriegners may have been designed to garner world opinion against the US and its allies. If so it just seems to be a futile waste of life to me. It may be time for terrorists to reevaluate their tactics of killing innocents. It intimidates, but it only intimidates a small sector of people. After all of the terror attacks over the years people in the United States and other countries do not live in fear of what terrorists will do next. http://www.militaryringexpress.com
