The Fog of War

fog of warAll of you custom military ring customers have heard the term “The Fog of war” used before. It is used to describe the way that confusion often rules in combat and the total confusion about events, circumstances, and people that you encounter. People will get your simplest orders confused in war and in training because they start trying to think rather than just doing what you want them to.

You have to react to fluid and rapidly changing situations and I tell you now, nothing is ever as it seems. You can plan, and plan, and plan, and nothing will go according to plan. Normal decisions will be wrong because people do the opposite of what they are supposed to, equipment breaks down, radios stop working, and you have to read your map, monitor 4 radios, don your protective mask, and dodge bullets at the same time. Meanwhile your boss is on the other radio cussing you out because he is trying to get hold of you and can’t hear you trying to answer him. All of you military ring customers know exactly what I am talking about. Even if you haven’t been to war because its the same during training exercises.
