North and South Korea Exchange Artillery

The North and South Koreans exchanged artillery fire in an artillery duel which was nothing more than a waste of ammunition. According to the account that I read the North Koreans fired about three rounds which landed in international waters close to the South Korean boundary in the Yellow Sea and the South Koreans did the same thing

personally if I were South Kores I wouldn’t have wasted my ammo with a response. They feel as if they have to retailiate to every provocation from the North because North Korea did some stuff earlier this year and got away with it.

They actually have exchanges of gunfire, firefights, insults, and propaganda all of the time that the world never hears about.

Remember that both countries are still at war because there has never been  formal peace treaty signed. Both countries are bristling with weapons and bombs which are pointing at each other. Duty in Korea is hard duty for our combat arms ring customers who are stationed there. They are ready to go to war at any time and forces on or near the DMZ are used to pointing their weapons or seeing the enemies weapons pointed at them.

If the United States and the UN were to pull out of Korea I guarantee that within six months they would be fighting an all out war. It is important to North and South Koreanns alike want to reunify the country. The problem is each country only wants to do it on it’s own terms
