The Coast Guard Has Done it Again

rings-photos-003.jpgHere is just one of many stories of a documented rescue carried out by our Coast Guard from the Custom Coast Guard Ring man. I like to keep you up to date somewhat on the activities of our Armed Forces and Government agencies. We never hear a whole lot about the Coast Guard because rescuing people is routine for them.

They just go about doing their thing quietly and professionally. I am sure that if you ask some of those who have been rescued by the Coast Guard what their thoughts are they wouldn’t be able to say enough good things.

Thie rescue that I am referring to today occurred in Newport Oregon where the Coast Guard rescued 4 surfers who were stranded on the rocks near there. From what I read they Coast Guard utilized a  HH-65C Dolphin heliocopter to rescue the surfers. I have done previous posts about the capabilities of the Dolphin. I want to take this opportunity to thank our Coast Guard for the job that they do. We never hear much about them so we tend to take their service for granted.
