The US Air Assault School

Image:Air Assult.jpgThe US Army Air Assault school is located in Fort Campbell Kentucky. It’s primary purpose is to train soldiers of the 101st Airborne Division in Air Assault (Airmobile) operations. The school is not limited to the 101st Airborne Division but is open to all regular Army soldiers.

Air Assault operations primarily use the helocopter as a tool to move troops and equipment around the battlefield. Soldiers and equipment are more often inserted behind emeny lines to conduct operations in the enemies rear areas.

Airmobile tactics were born out of the Vietnam war. These tactics were the response to the guerilla warfare that Americans were engaged in for the first time because soldiers could strike rapidly from almost anywhere on the battlefield. It was also good because the dense jungles hampered ground movement. If you were ever a member of the 101st or attended the Air Assault school we have plenty of custom military ring designs that you can choose from for your military ring. We pride ourselves on the amount of customization that we have available for you.
