Back in my day the Army had 2 tactical missiles in its inventory called the Pershing, and Lance. I know that these relics aren’t around any more and that things have changed, but you can commemorate this time with a service ring also.
Sergeant Joe Bell once claimed that his proficiency level was so high as a Lance Missileman that he could fire a Lance Missile 150 miles with enough accuracy to land it in a teacup. I was never a missileman, but I have some serious doubts about this story. Maybe some of you younger soldiers can tell me. Can you even be that accurate today with all of the laser guided stuff that we have in inventory?
