If you serve or have served in the 2nd Infantry Division which is located in South Korea, you can use our side panel design of the division’s distinctive Indianhead patch as one of your designs for your own custom 2nd Infantry Division military ring. I for one was stationed in the division in the 80’s and I had some of the best times of my military career there. The 2nd division is definitely a unique place to serve and was a tough assignment for me. We worked at least 6 days a week and were very restricted in our movement. The reason for the restriction was that we were subject to be alerted for war at any time and we had to be able to respond very quickly to any threat from the North Korean Army.
I remember my first day in the division. We arrived at the turtle farm on Camp Casey at about nightfall. The words of the NCO who met us were this, “It’s too late to inprocess you tonight. If you hear a siren go off that means that we are on alert. If that happens meet me here and I will tell you what to do.” There were many incidents which made me think that we would actually go to war with North Korea. The North Koreans are constantly pushing the envelope and are excellent at provoking our forces.
I could go on and on with stories of my time there and I am sure that those of you who have been there have a lot of stories that you can tell also.

I actually found the 2ID Indianhead patch and use it as a side panel desing for the 2nd Inf Div ring…http://www.militaryringexpress.com
