This award is given by the US Army to soldiers who have personally served in active ground combat in an infantry or special forces unit. This badge is awarded partly to recognize the Infantryman and to distinguish him from other soldiers who would normally never see action in ground combat.
The Infantryman suffers a disporportionate amount of killed and wounded in action because of the nature of his job. The Infantryman also deserves to be recognized because his job is the toughest that the military has to offer. He often has to endure the elements while others sleep in a warm tent or building. His bed may be in the corner of a foxhole or a sleeping bag or cover right on top of the ice and snow. This award is well deserved by the infantryman. We have this design available as a laser vue design for the soldier who wants to create his own Army Infantryman’s ring and we are happy to offer it to the many proud infantrymen who have served this nation in actual combat.
