A Shout Out to The 3rd Battalion 10th Special Forces Group

sf patchThis shout out goes to the 3rd battalion 10th Special Forces group which received the army Valorious unit award for its actions in Iraq during military operations. The unit was doing its thing and training Iraqi soldiers during an operation to clear insurgents when it approached a house filled with enemy combatants. The Iraqi interpeters fled the scene when the unit came under a vicious attack from the house. Since there was no way to communicate with the Iraqi soldiers, the soldiers of the 3rd Bn had to go around to each Iraqi and physically shove them in the direction that they needed to go. They accomplished this while AK47 rifle fire and hand grenades were exploding all around them.

This is one example of the professionalism of our soldiers. Operation Iraqi Freedom, and Operation Enduring Freedom are definitely things that we would like to get behind us, but these type of operations give us a chance to see what our armed forces are capable of. I have met many special forces soldiers who have come to our retail location to order special forces rings and I would like to commend each and every one of them for their bravery and professionalism.
