Military Intelligence is the most valuable asset that the maneuver commander can have. Intelligence gives the commander an analysis of many different factors which effect the battlefield. The intelligence officer or enlisted person must have superior analytical abilities. The intelligence soldier looks at a wide variety of factors and combines it with what he or she knows about the habits and tactics of the enemy to give an analysis of the situation and provide the commander with a recommended course of action.
The interrogator is another person of great intrest. The good interrogator must be adept at analyzing the information that he or she is given to know how to interrogate the prisoner. I once talked to an interrogator who told me that he would remove his military ring before he interrogated a prisoner because the prisoners would observe the custom designs on the ring as a source of information about the person interrogating him.
