Teamwork was one of the most valuable lessons that the military taught me. When you are put in tough situations with people you learn that you have to bond to overcome. You capitalize on their strengths and they capitalize on yours. You learn to protect their weaknesses and they learn how to protect yours. You work together to get the job done.
I formed some bonds that will never be broken and although I may never see these people again in my life we are brothers. If I ever do see them again what’s theirs is mine and what’s mine is theirs. Every time that I look at my military service ring I am reminded of my time in the service of my country and I think back on some of the friendships formed along the way and I smile.
