The Unites States Marine is truly a unique individual. The conbat Marine is highly proficient in hand to hand combat, survival echniques and military tactics. He or she has a long history of tradition and effective training to draw from.

The troop who graduates from the Airborne School located in Fort Benning GA has a right to create an Airborne Graduation Ring to commemorate the event.

Airborne school is a three week course if the student does not have to repeat a phase of the training. The first week concentrates on landing techniques which are extremely important. The student doesn’t use the sport chutes that you see sport sky divers use. The Military parachute is not unforgiving and the landings tend to be hard. The second week of Airborne training consists of learning how to exit the aircraft and control the chute during descent.
