We honor the United States Navy with the US Navy Rings that we offer. The US Navy has certainly been a major reason for our freedom and independance during the history of this great nation. We offer three styles of navy rings. The first is the freedom ring for men, however many women will wear this ring when they want something with a bolder look.
The next style for your Navy ring is the Independance ring for men. This is the best selling mens ring and has that bold look which 8 out of 10 men prefer.
The ladies freedom ring for women is the third ring style that we offer. This ring is suitable for wear with civilian or military attire. All of these rings come with a lifetime guarantee and more customization than you can get from any other military ring dealer that I know of.
You can use the ring to show anything that you want to show about your naval affliation from the unit that you served in to the ship or submarine that you served on. You can show any naval specialty to include special operations. You can also display other branches of service if you have served in different branches of service.
These rings are so versatile that you are only limited by your own imagination. Feel free to contact us at any time with your guestions at the web site or 912-877-4734.
Operation Urgent Fury is the codename given to the US led invasion of Grenada on October 25th 1983. The invasion force consisted primarily of US and Jamaican Army forces who invaded in response to a request from The Organization of Eastern Carribbean States. The purpose of this invasion was to overthrow the government takeover of Hodson Austin.
The reasons that the US cited for invading Grenada were; the murder of Prime Minister Maurice Bishop, the instability of a country close to US borders. and the rescue of American medical students from Saint Georges University.
The advantages of Naval Gunfire and helicopter gunships were the deciding factor which helped insure a speedy victory. October 25th has been declared Thanksgiving Day by the people of Grenada because of this invasion. Even though we don’t list this operation on our website we still give you the capability to create an Operation Urgent Fury custom military ring.
The word Infantry is used to refer to soldiers, marines, or SEALs who are trained primarily to fight on foot. The infantry is the oldest branch of the Combat Arms of all forces. Soldiers fought on foot before guns, artillery, or any modern technology was ever thought about.
The infantryman endures more hardship then any other soldier regardless of the job that that soldier does. Infantry soldiers (especially light infantry) have to endure every hardship known to man because war dosen’t take a break because of bad weather or any other element. Infantry soldiers train all times of day or night and in all kinds of weather. Special Operations soldiers are infantrymen who are highly trained in specific types of combat operations. So they are used in special situations.
Every soldier is trained to some degree to fight as an infantryman and every soldier may have to be used as infantry in emergencies, but when things get to that point there is something wrong. The entire rest of the army is designed to support the infantryman some directly and some indirectly.
Modern technology and precision armament helps to reduce the role of infantry in battle, but no matter how much precision weaponry and air power you may have you can’t win a war without infantry soldiers. This is why you will find that most of the detail work available to design custom military rings will relate to the infantry in some way. We recently did a military ring for a mechanic and as we did the ring I realized that even his job was as a mechanic he had to fix vechicles for the infantry soldiers to ride in.
For The Umpteenth Time, Keep an Eye on China
China plans to show off its nuclear submarines at an international naval gathering this week in an effort to showcase the rapid acquisition that it has made of new naval technology.
You may ask me why is this so strange? Why are you making a big deal out of this? Who cares? Well the problem is this; the Chinese have always been very secretive about their military equipment. Why is it that all of a sudden they are so willing to show the world what they have?
My answer to you grasshopper is this: They are making a bold statement to the rest of the world that says, this is what we can use to mess up your day. I really believe it is no more than an intimidation tactic. Why is it that they want to intimidate you say? I say it is because they are intending to flex some muscle here real soon and who better to flex it at than the current world champion, the United States.
Chinese Admiral Wu has been speaking up boldly about the piracy going on off of the coast of Somalia. You will now say to me “You have now lost your mind OldWarrior, some one needs to take a stand against the piracy.” I would say to you grasshopper that what you say is true, but why do they want to help with something now?” They have had many chances over the years to help with all sort of trouble and they didn’t. I see this as the old west outlaw who would provoke a gunfight because he wanted to prove to everyone how tough he was. We need to keep our eyes open.
Our soldiers are up to the task of stopping the Chinese. Our Navy is better trained , and so is our Army. The Chinese know however that they would never be able to project military force effectively across the ocean. This is why they are concentrating on their naval forces. Our navies would have to clash in any future military clashes. Keep in mind that they military ring man is warning us to keep our eyes open.
The Army is fielding a new rifle for its snipers to use in combat. Based on the information that I have seen while researching this new rifle it is a bad mamma jamma. It is called the M110 Sniper Weapon System. This rifle will give the sniper a much faster rate of fire and greater accuracy at close ranges. I see this change as an adaptation to the combat requirements of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. Snipers are put in circumstances in these wars that they have never faced before because this war is not conventional in the regular sense of the word.
Another advantage of this system is that it has parts which are interchangeable with existing rifles. I am always excited about the new technology that our soldiers, sailors, airmen, marines, and special operations folk get to work with. I have heard a few war stories from a lot of my customers who have come in to purchase snipers rings and I am always glad to spend some time and exchange stories with them.
A Shout Out to The 3rd Battalion 10th Special Forces Group
This shout out goes to the 3rd battalion 10th Special Forces group which received the army Valorious unit award for its actions in Iraq during military operations. The unit was doing its thing and training Iraqi soldiers during an operation to clear insurgents when it approached a house filled with enemy combatants. The Iraqi interpeters fled the scene when the unit came under a vicious attack from the house. Since there was no way to communicate with the Iraqi soldiers, the soldiers of the 3rd Bn had to go around to each Iraqi and physically shove them in the direction that they needed to go. They accomplished this while AK47 rifle fire and hand grenades were exploding all around them.
This is one example of the professionalism of our soldiers. Operation Iraqi Freedom, and Operation Enduring Freedom are definitely things that we would like to get behind us, but these type of operations give us a chance to see what our armed forces are capable of. I have met many special forces soldiers who have come to our retail location to order special forces rings and I would like to commend each and every one of them for their bravery and professionalism.
The commander of the Chinese Navy, Admiral Wu Shengli has boasted that the Chinese Navy is focusing on accelerating the growth and technology of its Navy. This is true according to what I have been seeing recently. The Chinese are really beefing up their armed forces, especially their Navy. Now all have the right to have a strong defense but my question is, ”What is the reason for the urgency at this time?”
China will focus on developing its combat warships, its ultra-silent submarines and more sophisticated aircraft, torpedoes, and missiles.
Now I have no problem with every country wanting to be able to protect itself but ask yourself this question. Who in the world needs ultra-silent subs, and stealthy missiles. They certainly don’t need it for self defense purposes. There’s only one superpower in the world other than China, and those weapons are offensive in nature. The only force that is even a close match for these offensive capabilities is the United States.
Personally I feel that we as the world’s superpower should not allow our military might to be eclipsed. You might wonder why I am so adamant about this, well China is a repressive Communist regime. Now I will admit that we have our problems also but we don’t hold our citizens hostage in a communist dictatorship. I feel that our navy is up to the task of handing the Chinese Navy but we need to stay ahead. Our soldiers are professional and proud. We have seen this characteristic time and time again in the customers who have come in for custom navy rings.
More Students Are Enrolling in Our Military Academies
The US Naval Academy, the Air Force Academy, and the Military Academy at West Point have all reported jumps in enrollment this year. The Naval Academy has had the largest jump because of its aggressive recruitment, but the higher enrollments at all three academies is good news. There is no other experience like life at a military academy. I feel that the rigors and discipline of this lifestyle does in fact produce a more disciplined and well rounded individual.
The cadet learns how to manage time effectively, he or she also developes interpersonal and leadership skills. The regimen makes for a more productive soldier, citizen, and worker. Cadets are taught to adapt to a gruelling work ethic and learn to accept responsibility and to function under pressure. I for one am all for this lifestyle, especially to train our young military officers. We should strive to maintain the best and most demanding training possible. We honor our cadets as the future leadership of this great countries armed forces, and we show our appreciation in the service we give with our Armed Forces rings.
Personally it dosen’t bother me at all that this known terrorist who is responsible for the deaths of an unknown number of totally innocent Americans and others was waterboarded this many times. I would not say why not 200? Now don’t get me wrong, I would not support the waterboarding of innocents by any means. It is my understanding that waterboarding this character resulted in our being able to stop many terrorist attacks.
If that is the case then it was more than well worth it. This is war and people such as this man are actually trying to kill us. We need to wake up to that fact. I would much rather see him waterboarded than have to mourn the death of one of my loved ones because he wasn’t forced to give information. What about you?
I had a long conversation with one of our military ring customers who used to be an interrogator. These people know full well the agony and grief that their terror causes. They are intelligent, crafty, cunnung, and evil. We need to use every possible weapon when it comes to safeguarding our country and loved ones.
Military awards, and decorations are given to soldiers, sailors, and marines to recognize their distinctive service and personal accomplishments during his or her time in military service. Awards, and badges are an outward way to display the servicemembers military accomplishments.
The servicemember whether male or female has memories of various military accomplishments and other memories that may not be the type of thing that you receive an award for. A military ring will cover the ground in a case like this. When you order your military service ring it will tell the story of your fondest memories of your time in military service. It will tell the story exactly the way that you want it to be told, and it will be a lifelong heirloom.
