Remember The Good Times

December 31, 2008 posted by OldWarrior

att12992.jpgThis time of year is normally a time of reflection for me. I always look back on the past year and reflect on the good, the bad, the ugly, and the indifferent. This time of year is also a time to look ahead and reflect on the future.

When I purchased my custom military ring it was a reflection of the inner me. Every detail in it is significant to me in some way. The colors on my color shields are blue, white, gold, and red. Each color has a very special meaning to me. It would take me hours to explain everything about the ring. It tells my story.

Step 9 to Creating Your Custom Military Ring

December 30, 2008 posted by OldWarrior

Now that you have decided what you want to say around the stone and above the side panels of your custom military ring you need to decide which color that you would like for the stone to be. There are many different reasons for choosing color. Many people choose their branch color, while many people will choose their birthstone color. People have chosen colors for various reasons. Whatever color has meaning to you is what you choose. There is no wrong way to do it. The choice is yours.

American Patriotism

December 30, 2008 posted by OldWarrior

The American flag is the symbol of our patriotism and love for our great country. It begins with a red stripe which alternates with white stripes for a total of 13 stripes. These represent the 13 colonies which rebelled from the colonial rule of England. The blue rectangle represents the union and the 50 stars inside the rectangle represent the 50 states of the union. This signifies the United States of America.

The flag is flown proudly from public buildings and many private buildings also. You can use it to show your patriotism with a custom commemorative ring. We have this design available as both a side panel design and a laser vue design. We have done many, many rings with this design proudly displayed. The choice of display is yours.

Congradulations To Robert Aston

December 29, 2008 posted by OldWarrior

Airman Robert Lee Aston was finally awarded the silver star 64 years after he was recommended for it. This brave airman sucessfully navigated his B-24 bomber through extremely adverse flying and navigating conditions, without escort, through heavy flak to engage his primary target. He then went on to organize a few straggling bombers into an effective fighting group which was able to reach its target.

These single acts of gallantry by our fighting men and women are often the difference between winning and losing a battle. There are probably so many stories like this one that have never been told that history will never be complete. A military ring, or an Air Force commemorative ring is an excellent way to remember these events that may seem to be small but are certainly significant. We thank you Mr. Aston for your service.

The Role Of The Military Jumpmaster

December 26, 2008 posted by OldWarrior

These instructors perform a very delicate and stressful series of duties when they are engaged in performing their job.

Any person who desires to become a jumpmaster must undergo a very stringent training program in addition to having at least 12 regular jumps. The responsibilities of this job are awesome, especially when you consider that any error that they make can result in serious injury or loss of life.

Some of the responsibilities of the jumpmaster include: 1) Organizing and controlling military jumpers 2) Inspecting the condition of all jumpers and their equipment prior to the jump. 3) Jumpmasters must insure that all of the jumpers equipment is serviceable and correctly donned. 3) He must check in flight navigation of the aircraft. 4) He must perform safety checks of different aspects of the aircraft and safety conditions around the aircraft prior to the jump. 5) He must control the jumpers while they are inside of the aircraft and he must control their exit out of the aircraft.

We have the jumpmaster design available in a laser vue which is beautiful and distinctive when you choose to add it to your Custom Jumpmaster’s Ring. We also have several different parachute designs for side panel and laser vue designs.

The US Military Has Made The Difference In Iraq

December 26, 2008 posted by OldWarrior

We were so pleased to find that the number of daily insurgent attacks in Iraq have dropped 95% since last year. You can’t tell me that this is not because of the difference that our soldiers are making. We are so proud of our servicemen. This statistic lets us know that our soldiers are doing a tremendous job despite many disadvantages and great odds against them. Things have come a really long way and it is due to the great efforts of our fighting men and women.

We should commend and thank our soldiers at every turn because they truly are the best in the world. We know that these are tough times for our armed forces and we hope that this war ends real soon. An Operation Iraqi Freedom Commemorative Ring is an excellent way to let that special serviceman or woman know just how much you appreciate the sacrifices that they have made for us.

Step 8 To Creating Your Custom Military Ring

December 24, 2008 posted by OldWarrior

Once you have picked out your side panel designs and color shields (if applicable) and are satisfied with them you can proceed to the next step in designung your custom military ring.

You have already picked the wording that you want to put around your stone. You also have the option of writing whatever you want to say above each of your side panel designs (please please please no profanity).

You have room to put up to 2 lines of up to 8 spaces per line on each side of your ring. Please remember to include the empty spaces between words in your count. This gives you an incredible 32 spaces of information that you can add to your Custom Military Ring!!

army-national-guard.jpgWe want to recognize our National Guard and Reserve soldiers in this post. I was just reading about how many of our National Guard soldiers have been called to duty because of the weekend storms in the Northeastern US.

We normally don’t even think about these soldiers until we need them. Once they have spent their time and effort to help us we forget about them until we need them again. One good way to remember these servicemen and women is with a custom made US National Guard or Reservists Ring. The ring is an excellent gift and keepsake to remind that special someone that he or she is important to you.
