Commemorate Fond Memories With A Military Ring

November 28, 2008 posted by OldWarrior

As I sit and meditate on this Holiday season, I can remember my first Thanksgiving as a soldier. It wasn’t funny then, but I can laugh about it now.

I had just went on active duty and was stationed at Fort Sill, Oklahoma. I had intended to drive home for Thanksgiving. I had gotten casual pay earlier to help buy some uniform stuff that I needed. What I didn’t realize was that all of the money would be taken back at once. When I got my LES for -$13.00 I realized that there wouldn’t be any travelling that season. I took the little money that I had and bought a large box of fish sticks and another large box of noodles to eat for the next 2 weeks until I would get paid again. I have never eaten another noodle or fish stick since then. A military ring will help you to remember and even laugh at some of the otherwise forgotten events of our past.

If it is true that one picture can say a thousand words then one ring can speak endless volumes.

Hooray TF 2d Battalion 7th Marine Regiment

Reports from Afghanistan are that this unit put in some serious good work fighting insurgents in Operation Enduring Freedom. We salute you for your courage and perseverence during this battle.

30 of these fine Marines put a good old fashioned country whipping on a force of 250 insurgents. These insurgents were even fighting our Marines from fortified positions!!! The Marines broke their backs during a battle which lasted for 8 hours. This ought to take a lot of the fight out of the insurgent force. Hopefully they will see that if you want to beat us you have to pack more than a lunch!!!

This post is for all military retirees. You have worked very hard and have gone through many many trying times. You have fought your way to a milestone and congradulations are in order.

Your country owes you a debt of gratitude for what you have done for us. You can commemorate your glorious time of service with a military retirement ring. You deserve it for all of the service that you have given to your country. Thank you.

Remember The Good Times With A Military Ring

image004.jpgWe all have good memories of past times when we were in the service of our country. Many times we turned to humor to help ease the misery of being stationed in some far away place. Many times the humor would help to ease the lonliness of being seperated from our loved ones.

You can create your custom military ring to commemorate your time in service. You may not be able to recall every minor thing all of the time, but each time that you look at your ring it should evoke pleasant thoughts.

Another Amazing Weapon

The US Military is trying to shrink drones down to the size of insects to do some super duper spying. These bad boys will be sent out in swarms like insects and will be able to photograph, record, and attack insurgents and terrorists.

This is warfare at the highest level. I would hate to be an enemy of the US armed forces based on some of the stuff that I am seeing. This is a good time to be a part of the US armed services and there is no better way to commemorate your service than with a military ring. You can use a ring to preserve some of your pride and show espirit.

Thank you for a job well done in your Nov 24th rescue of the seaman with the broken leg.

This crew went far out to sea to rescue a crewman from the Lady Patricia. They battled 10 foot seas and 25 knot winds to make this rescue. I for one certainly am thankful for our Coast Guard. I have a small boat and it looks like a toothpick when I put it in the ocean. Your service to us is very much appreciated. Thank you.

If you were a part of this bloody, historic battle you can create a custom Military Ring to commemorate your participation.

This 3 day battle occurred on Nov 20 1943. It was the US Military’s first major amphibious assault of WWII. More than 990 US Marines and 680 sailors were killed in this epic battle, while over 2,000 American servicemen were wounded. Japanese forces on the Atoll were virtually wiped out completely. The US learned several valuable lessons from this exercise which were applied in future battles to prevent such heavy casualties from occuring again.

The Navy’s Newest Invention

Things are really going into the realm of the twilight zone since I got out of the military some years ago. I was just looking at where the Navy is looking into building a plane which will also function as a ship or a submarine.

That is just about the dardnest thing that I have ever heard!!! We are getting into something really spooky on this one!!! We are just about two feet away from the outer limits. If I were in the Navy I would love to be a part of this one!! Go Navy!!!

You Can Show Your Base Camp On Your Military Ring

This is just another note to make you aware of some of the many things that you can do to customize your military service ring.

Many of you have done combat tours in places with uncommon names. We have had many customers to show the place where they were stationed above one of their side panel designs. We have done names such as Balad, Tikrit, etc. on Iraqi Freedom  Rings, and we have also done very similar things on Operation Enduring Freedom Rings
