The Taliban Conducts its own Troop Surge

talibanAccording to a top Taliban commander in Pakistan the taliban is conducting its own version of a troop surge.

Waliur Rehman has issued a statement to the press that he has ordered thousands of Taliban fighters from Pakistan into afghanistan to assist the Taliban there in its efforts during the troop surge which is in progress.

Personally I think that the whole thing is a bunch of hogwash. I think that in reality the Taliban and al-Qaeda are in sore distress although they will never admit it. I don’t even think that they can mount much of a response to the troop surge.

US spokespeople have strated that intelligence hasn’t seen any indications of this. So that should tell the real story. I don’t think our custom military ring customers serving in Afghanistan will have to worry much about this threat.
