Marines have a Tough Time in Afghanistan

Taliban Sneaking Through in AfghanistanMarines serving in Khan Neshin Afghanistan have a tough job of stopping the flow of insurgents, and weapons into and through the area. This area was and still is one of the Talibans major routes of infiltration from Pakistan. The marines there have done a good job of staunching the flow but the problem is that there are only a few hundred marines to cover a 6000 square mile area. It dosen’t take any kind of arithmetic to see that that is not enough.

Hopefully the  troop surge will alleviate some of the pressure. If our marines get a little help they will handle the situation. Choking off the supply of fresh weapons, bodies, and equipment is all a part of the warfare. If we can prevent or even hinder resupply and reinforcement of the Taliban it will make the act of expelling them from Afghanistan easier http://www.militaryringexpress.com
