This bit of news is really not a surprise to me and it probably won’t surprise oue Operation Enduring Freedom ring customers either but Osama bin Laden is reportedly believed to be slipping in and out of Afghnaistan.
Mr. bin Laden is believed to be somewhere in the Waziristan province on the border of Afghanistan and Pakistan. He is believed to be spending most of his time in Pakistan and slipping in and out as necessary.
One big question that remains is why can’t he be caught. I believe that he is getting a lot of assistance from the countries that he frequents. I don’t necessarily think that he is getting assistance from government officials, but we must understand that there is a fierce allegiance from fellow Arabs and I’m sure that it is not hard for him to get help.
Let me give you an example of the difference between the Western and the Arab mindset. There is a $25,000,000 reward for the capture of Mr. bin Laden but no one has snitched him out yet. Now if one of us westeners were offered that kind of money we would flip on our own mother. You military ring customers know this just as well as I do.
You know that there are some who could rat him out but no one has. This is a major difference between Arab and Western thinking. In addition there may be some who want to but they would never be able to live down the shame that they would incur from their brothers. The big question is will the US ever catch him. The military ring man is not a betting man but if we haven’t caught him so far the probability is that we never will.
