Our President Won’t Commit Troops Into Chaos

Bomber Blasts Iran Revolutionary GuardPresident Obama dosen’t want to commit extra troops to Afghanistan until some concessions are made by the incumbent president.

If we commit extra troops they will secure ground and areas under Taliban control. Thats not the problem. The problem is corruption in the Afghan government. Right now Americans don’t know who the enemy is half of the time. There have been times when American soldiers have been fired on by their Afghan escorts during missions.

The recent presidential election was rife with fraud with Hamid Karzai and Abdullah Abdullah both claiming the victory. The official vote shows Karzai winning but there is much evidence of the election being rigged. The problem that this presents to the US is that if there are two people claiming to be president this creates an unstable atmosphere which definitely won’t help us fight the Taliban. According to our estimates Mr Karzai would still win a runoff but he needs to take positive action to legitimize his presidency before we can help him.

I am watching this development very closely and you will hear from the Operation Enduring Freedom ring man to keep you updated.
