Information on this one is sketchy to say the least but there was a reported skirmish on Sep 14th between Afghan soldiers and Afghans who are assigned to guard US troops. There is no information given as to why this skirmish occured and no information is being released other than officials saying that the event is under investigation.
This happened in the Charchino district of Afghanistan. Three of the ANA soldiers were killed and 1 was injured, while 2 guards were killed and 2 others were injured.
I am tempted to comment and to speculate on this one but I hate to start rumors. I wasn’t there and I don’t have any idea of what happened or any inside information. Now after making that clear let me say that I suspect that al Qaeda has some loyalties within the ranks of the Afghan Army maybe in high places. It will be interesting to find out about this one.
