The sad fact is that despite all of the actions that our government has taken to protect us there are still ways that a determined, well equipped, and well supplied terrorist could get through and mount a successful attack.
Our government has done a wonderful job of keeping al-Qaeda on the run and off balance since the Sep 11 attack, but lets be realistic. If anyone thinks that they can stop each and every individual terrorist who gets a wild hair and decides to attack you are not living in the real world.
Look at the Christmas bomber. The only thing that foiled his attack was that he somehow goofed up and almost burned himself up. Couple this with the fact that al-Qaeda is urging individuals to wage war. They claimed credit for the Christmas bombing but I don’t believe that higher level officials even knew about it until after the fact.
We Americans need to stay alert and not be afraid to react to percieved terrorist attacks. If we do so we will do more to stop terrorism than our goverment ever can. http://www.militaryringexpress.com
